PEACH PITTER model 300-A
Purpose
The Peach Pitter
300-A is designed to feed,
align and pit freestone and clingstone peaches at a rate of
up to 320 fruit per minute.
Operation/Construction
Peaches are received into
the feed hopper where they are automatically singled out
and fed into cups on a conveyor. As the
conveyor travels through the aligning section, the
peaches are rotated by aligning wheels which protrude
through holes in the bottom of the cups. As the cavity
of the fruit is found by an aligning wheel, the peach
ceases to rotate. From the cavity finding section the
fruit passes over 3 suture finding station in which the
suture of the fruit are aligned to the plane of the
splitting knives. At the pitting station, knives
entering the fruit from both top and bottom rotate,
separating the pit from the flesh. Simultaneously, a
splitting knife cuts the fruit into halves.
Features/Benefits
Reduced Labor
Requirements
minimum rework is required
as a result of the knife pitting principle. Near zero
rework required on freestone peaches even during heavy
split or stick-pit incidences.
Increased Grade Quality
Superior alignment
efficiency, combined with gentle handling of soft
fruit results in the greatest possible number of
selected halves.
Low Cost
Maintenance/Minimum Downtime
due to the simplicity of the
design of
this multiple lane knife pitter, high mechanical
reliability is achieved.
