PEACH
TORQUE PITTER model CT800
Any way you
look at it, CT800 is today's most productive
peach pitter
The CT800 is fast. It
offers pitting speeds of up to 82 peaches per minute.
And we don't sacrifice quality for speed. With the
CT-800 you'll not only get high yields, you'll get a high
quality end product - with improved pit cavity
definition less bruising and fewer slivers. Throughout
the season, the CT-800 is at its productive peak. The
CT-800 eliminates in-season lubrication altogether and
can cut cleanup time by 80%. Not only you reduce
downtime, you save on labor, oil and grease costs as
well. Getting down to the nuts and bolts, the CT-800 is
FMC quality built. Its wear-action design and
construction reduce maintenance costs and keep it on the
job for years and years to come. If your peach pitting
operation can benefit from higher quality, greater yield,
less downtime, reduced clean-up labor and elimination of
lubrication costs, look into the FMC CT-800. It's the
high production peach pitter on the job and down the
line.
Purpose
The Peach Pitter CT800 is designed to
feed, align
and pit clingstone peaches at a rate of up to 82 fruit
per minute.
Operation/Construction
Whole peaches are delivered
from the customer's merry-go-round system to the
pitter's open through feeder. The peaches are singled
out and fed to an aligner cup. Orientation begins
immediately and continues until the peach is
transferred to the pitting station. During the transfer
cycle, the peach is pre-cut around the stem end which
reduces the tendency of the peach halves to fracture in
this area. The peach is then delivered to the pitting
station in such a manner that the pit is located on the
same vertical and horizontal center lines of the twist
mechanism. The pit is held stationary between two blades
and then each half is gripped by mechanical soft hand
activated pneumatically. This allows readily adjustment
to variable turn that vary from 120° -360° in opposite
directions (counter-twisted) according to the pit
conditions. On completion of the pitting cycle the two
cleanly pitted halves and the pit are discharged to a
conveyor or fluming system below the machine.
Selective
Knife
If the peach has a split
pit, it is sensed prior to twisting and the peach is
selectively knife pitted during the normal pitting
cycle.
Features/Benefits
High Capacity
The CT-800 operates at 82
peaches per minute continuously throughout the
processing season.
Lubrication
There is no downtime, labor
or materials required for lubrication. In-season
lubrication is achieved using clean water;
On connection of a supply
source, the machine is constantly lubricated by a fully
integrated system.
Sanitation
Incorporated in the water
lubrication is an over spray of clean water which is
concentrated in those areas where debris, etc. may
accumulate. This, together with the use of stainless
steel, smooth epoxy-coated surfaces and approved
synthetic materials, reduces clean-up time and materials
by 80%.
